We are pleased to introduce Version 2010.5 of Field ID Web and 1.20 of Field ID Mobile.

Below you will read about the major improvements that we have made to Field ID in this release.

Overview of New Features in Field ID Web 2010.5

Event Importer
Field ID now has the capability to import event information. We support Excel (XLS) file format. You can import all of the event information including the date it was done, the event type, who performed the event and the result.

Mass Event
Mass Event will allow you to complete an event on up to 250 assets at once (50 on a mobile device). You can build your list of assets using the asset search or by clicking on Inspect from the top menu and use the smart search. You will then see all event types that are shared across the products. Select the event you woud like to perform and enter all information.

Filter By Product Type Groups
When you select a Product Type group from the Assets, Reporting or Schedules screen you will be able to select the common product attributes for the group. For example, if in your group "Rigging" each Product Type had a attribute Model # you would be able to select this attribute to include on your search results.

Terminology Changes

We have been trying to standardize on some language in Field ID. We have complete a couple of wording changes:

1. Inspection Date is now Date Performed
2. Inspector is now Performed By

Create Multiple Schedules during an Event
We have further expanded the ability to schedule other events while completing an event. Currently, you can only see the next scheduled date for the type of event you are completing. With this release, you will also be able to add other schedules of completely different types. Just did a Visual Inspection and want to schedule a Repair?  No problem.

New Help & Support Link
When you are logged into Field ID you will now see a combined Help & Support Link. This will drive you to a page where you can select the type of help that best suites your needs.

Overview of New Features in Field ID Mobile 1.20

Mass Event
Just like the Web you can perform a single event on up to 50 assets at once. Simply click on the Inspect button from the main screen and select Multiple. From there you can scan your RFID numbers or enter serial numbers to build your list. Selecting your event type will bring to fill out all information about this event.

Create Multiple Schedules during an Event
We have further expanded the ability to schedule other events while completing an event. Currently, you can only see the next scheduled date for the type of event you are completing. With this release, you will also be able to add other schedules of completely different types. Just did a Visual Inspection and want to schedule a Repair?  No problem.

View and Edit Inspection Form
When you have completed inspecting a component you can now go back into the inspection form and edit what you have entered without re-setting the inspection form.

Assign Ad-Hoc Events to a Job
When you are doing an inspection that is not currently part of a job you will now have the ability to add that inspection onto a job. This will allow you to complete ad-hoc inspection in the field and have the ability to see these inspections when you pull a report on the web.

New Mass Update Workflow
When using Mass Update you will no longer have to confirm the asset you looked up. You will still be able to view the information by clicking on the view link after the asset has been added to the list. This change will make the process much faster.
